Nothing can prepare you for the madness of the Kawaii Monster Cafe. Stumbling upon this in a japanese blog post I knew I had to go and see the madness for myself. When you walk into the cafe, one of the workers asks if you are ready but nobody can be ready for the bright colors and catchy music. The first thing you notice is the merry go round and the Harajuku 'girls' that are walking around for photo ops. My friend and I were walking to the bar for pictures and one of the 'girls' jump scare my friend and started laughing. At first we were weirded out but, we could not help ourselves to a quick little selfie. The bar was hidden off in the back of the cafe and it was one of the things I was most excited about. Not for the drinks but for the huge FREAKING jellyfish. It was too early in the afternoon for the bar to be open but it did not disappoint. The pictures and desprictions do not do this place any justice. You need to go and expierence the madness for yourself. 10 out of 10 would recommend for anyone that wants to expierence how crazy Japan can really be. I hopefully will visit here many times with different people because I love it.
Until next time xx

Over Thanksgiving weekend, my family, one of my close friends and I went up to Tokyo for a little bit of fun for the holiday. I always love to test out different looks over holiday because I will never see these people again and to me fashion is a part of traveling for me. For the outfit traveling there I decided to be a bit lazy with a sweat shirt, leggings, and a beanie. The sweatshirt has the words "Okay? Okay" on it from John Green's book 'The Fault in Our Stars' (_). My mint beanie (_) is from a little indie shop in Okinawa that I get all my cute little pieces from. And my leggings are just basic leggings. This outfit was so cute and amazing for Disney. I looked like Wednesday Adams lost in Disneyland. This whole outfit is from Forever 21 and I love every piece. The jacket (_) was a last minute buy but, saved my life all trip because it was not hot like Okinawa in Tokyo. My dress (_) is amazing, I wore it for homecoming as well and it can be dressy or casual depending on what you pair with it. The cream socks (_) were an impulse buy that have been collecting dust in my closet but when I bought this dress I knew they would look amazing. Sadly I could not wear my heels with this outfit and had to use Vans so I would be theme park friendly. My favorite outfit of the trip. I cannot link any of these clothing items because they were all finds in Tokyo and they do not have online stores. My dress was annoying because it was see through and you could see the black stockings but it made me feel like a was a flapper. The black stockings are paired with black knee high socks and platform booties. The beanie was a choice I wish I did not make but it was cold, okay?
Until next time xx There are a lot of pictures, I know but I can't pick just one because all of these show how silly and different we all are. I love each one of my friends and one is missing because she is the one taking the picture.
If you know me at all in real life or seen me walking around, I will probably be with at least someone from the little group we have. I love all these guys so much but like any human, they get on my nerves all the time. The mutual love-hate relationship keeps this group going strong and I am going to be sad when we all move off island. And yes this look like wedding pictures we still laugh about it. I am always open to having more friends so if you think you can keep up with my weirdness just drop a comment!! Until next time xx |
